Was Mama Mary first mentioned in the OT?

Post by Glory71 »

Greetings,

This is not a thesis or an issue but rather a question that I just noticed it this morning. Please help.

Was Mama Mary mentioned in the OT as early as the Genesis 3 right after the fall of man? When I woke up this morning and as I read a verse or two from the Bible I noticed this verse from the book of Genesis that I probably missed so many many many times as pertaining to the new eve (Mama Marry) instead of the old eve.

Genesis 3:15 - I will put emnity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers, He will strike at your head, while you strike at his heel.

When I read this I suddenly remember the woman cloth with the sun in the book of revelation most particularly this verse Rev 12:17 - Then the dragon became angry with the woman and went off to wage war against the rest of her offspring, those who keep God's commandment and bear witness to Jesus.

<<<elated>>> Isn't that what we are doing? I mean we kept on striking at satans head while he kept on striking us on our heel?

Even after reading the bible and the CCC from cover to cover, it sometimes, as if by magic, we see a verse illuminated all of the sudden. I am humbled by God's greatness. At awe by His splendor, power, and glory.

God did not just saw but already knew Mama Mary way way before she even existed. This verse that I missed many times has become my favorite verse now. The Catechism of the Catholic Church defines this as "protoevangelium".
