Hi, my name is shin, 22 year old and i live today in israel.
Originally i am jew but i dissagree with jewish way of faith so i want to convert.
I did some reading on the net and i found this site and i wanted to ask where i can go
or talk to for start, i gave it alot of thought and now i think its the time for me to
start doing somthing with it.
I heard that the best way is to find the closest church to my city
and i have found a church in jafo(since i live in kfar saba) and emailed them about my will
but i got no answer.
So i dont really know what to do next exapt for going "manually" to the church
and i wanted to ask what can be possibly the best way for me to act
from my position at the moment.
greetings from new member

hi Shin, and welcome on our forum!
Yes, if you live in Kfar Saba, probably the closest church to you will be in Yafo... unfortunately, email contact does not always work best.
You are welcome to post your questions on our forum if you have any.

Re: greetings from new member
Hi my name is Barry and I have always felt a great affinity between Judaism and my Catholic faith . I attend Mass regularly and get a lot from the daily readings both from the Old and New Testament and the Psalms . I recently read a translation of the Shema and was struck by the exhortation to love the Lord God with all one's might etc , mirrored in our Catholic Catechism . I think back to the many Jewish friends I have had down the years especially at Law School. I feel that I would now like to help develop contact and dialogue with between Catholics and those of the Jewish faith !
