Catholics not just for Israel but for the unborn too

My brothers & sisters in Christ. Pray. Pray. Pray. Pray without ceasing. Pray like there is no tomorrow. Wear your prayers every day. Pray for those who persecute you. Pray for all sinners like you and me. Pray for the souls deceived by satan that they may come back & rediscover God while there is still time.

Demand justice for the unborn. Defend the defenseless. Defend life. God’s laws are ALL OR NOTHING. He is Holy & will never ever change. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

The father of all lies - satan (John 8:44) has cleverly mask the words "Pro-Choice". These very words are uttered by those deceived by him. But in reality this is not pro-choice but rather PRO-DEATH.

This is not just a teaching that came from the Catholic Church. This is God's divine law. When are we ever going to understand this?

The very same people who opposes the war are the same ones that approve of abortion. HYPOCRITES! We sure is ready to defend and protect our lives, our family, our neighbor and if need be our country in times of war. But why can’t we defend the unborn. Their killing is happening right in our own backyard.

Some say that being pro-choice is an echo of freedom. WRONG! We must choose life so that we can be free.

In America approximately one-third of it’s younger generation is missing. They will never enter the work force, (think what 50 million extra workers would do to help solve our Social Security crisis), never marry, or have families of their own. Think of the potential that has been wasted. Perhaps one of these 50 million would have been the one to find a cure for cancer or AIDS or would have contributed greatly to society in some other way.

Why aren’t Catholics outraged? Don't we know the truth? Freedom has consequences. Our choices not only change the world around us, but they make us to be the kinds of persons we become in the very act of choosing. The capacity to make choices is what makes us truly human persons. What we then choose either humanizes us further or leads us, ultimately, into slavery - this would dehumanize us.

Two voices tower above all the others in proclaiming the real meaning of human freedom, the late Pope John Paul II and his successor, Pope Benedict XVI. These two servants of God are sometimes presented by advocates of a false vision of freedom as archaic remnants of some perceived "oppressive system."

Yet, just the opposite is true. Their message points us to a future of true freedom. They are the champions of an authentic human liberation. They insist that there is such a thing as truth and that freedom must always be exercised in relationship to that truth. Otherwise, our choices will lead to new forms of slavery and anarchy. It is only in choosing what is true and good that we come to experience human flourishing, serve the common good, promote justice and further true liberation.

Why am I ranting all this like a 'loony'? In the USA alone, we kill 4,000 babies each day! I close my eyes each night thinking of all those lives lost that day. People have lost their sense of what sin is. This is bestiality and murder combined. An act of pure PURE evil in it's truest form. Even some animals who act purely on instincts don't do this to their offspring(s)...and yet we dare call ourselves human beings.

Believers! Christians and Jews UNITE! Fight this plaque that is ruining our society. If there is no pro-life group in your parish or in town then make one. It is not enough to say it’s wrong. We must act, let us shout “foul!” and let our voices be heard…ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

Do We Have Something To Discuss

Hello Glory71,

I am a faithful Catholic and certainly unequivocally pro-life. So what I am about to say is not a reaction to this particular post. But I have the impression from a number of your posts that your desire is to give dissertations rather than to offer fodder for discussion which might further understanding between and among Catholics and Jews. I have no authority over this site, but I'd thought I'd express this impression. I am just not always clear as to how your posts respond to inquiries or offer topics on which participants might offer their own reflections and discussion.

Many blessings,
Hadassah

Site admin backing Hadassah on this one. I am also strongly pro-life of course and wish everyone were, but I must admit that I also wondered what was the connection between this long post and Catholics for Israel's mission?

Well taken. I am truly sorry if I have offended your mission. The mission of this forum Catholics for Israel. Its core principles and goals. But if you read my post, isn't that what I am doing?

My brothers in Christ, persons of authority in this site, please delete all my post if it does not reflect a single grain of truth to what Christ, the church, the pope, the bible, and the catechism teaches and ask of us. Moreover, please note that I am also a Jew. And I know how hard it is to accept the truth. I was full of pride then and this pride can be extremely hard to swallow. As I began to seek and dig deeper in the mystical body of Christ, it led me to Rome.

Hadassah and Ariel, my brothers in Christ; I am quite sure you have read the The Guidelines for Catholic and Jewish Relations written during the 2nd Vatican Council; just like you, I am guided by it. My brothers please re-read any of my post...isn't that what I am doing? Have I said that the Jews (like me) is wrong and that Catholics (also me) is right? Have I said that they should stop whatever it is they are doing? Have I failed to show Judaism's continuing role in salvation history in a positive light? I even went as far as seeking spiritual guidance to my parish priest, writing to Dr. Scott Hahn and Archdiocese of New York.

On the very first thread I started - Is the teachings of the church the fulfillment of the old? - Did I not reflect the desire for everyone to enter into a dialogue as to the why's and how's of things? How it came to be what we Catholics are now? And if you feel I was threatening the mission you started on that post, as the admin, why didn't you just delete my post? And probably just private message (pm) me as to why you did it. Why only now are you voicing your concern?

Ariel and Hadassah, I will say this to you as truthfully as I can (may not be pleasing to your ears). You men have a great responsibility. Tremendous responsibility. Please make sure you teach and reveal the truth in accord with the mind of the Catholic Church and not form your own religion...your own understanding of our Catholic Faith.

Lastly, please accept my apologies for echoing the letter of Pope Paul II - Evangelium Vitae (The Gospel of Life) here in your gathering. I just don't understand it Ariel how is it that there is no connection between your mission and what the Pope ask. The mere fact the word Catholic is included in your website, I thought you would welcome this. Should this issue not be part of your agenda same as atheism? These issues alone would unite God's men for indeed no man or woman can call themselves Catholics, Christian, and/ or Jew if they adhere to this ungodly act. And isn't unity one of your theme?

Ariel, thank you for the time you have given me. May God bless you and keep you always.

dear Glory71,

there is no need to overreact. You didn't write anything wrong, and this is why your post was not deleted. There is also nothing wrong to discuss pro-life issues on the forum. It's just that, as Hadassah has pointed out, your post was more like a dissertation than a starter for a discussion - which is the whole point of a forum such as this.

God bless,

Ariel

Hello,

It certainly was not my intention to offend. I simply value the discussion mode encouraged by this and other similar forums. Certainly, if I recall, none of the content of your posts was inappropriate.

I am editing this message because I just ran back over Glory's response and was struck by this:

"Please make sure you teach and reveal the truth in accord with the mind of the Catholic Church and not form your own religion...your own understanding of our Catholic Faith."

There is really no reason for such an accusation. Neither I (nor Ariel, if I can speak for him) have any other faith than the truth of the Catholic Church. I myself was only attempting to encourage you to format your posts in a way that sought to encourage discussion on the topic at hand.

Many Blessings,
Hadassah

p.s., Hadassah is a feminine name. It was Queen Esther's Hebrew name if you recall :-).
