Re: "Like" One Under the Law

But where do the Scriptures ever make a distinction between the natural law/10 commandments and the judicial law? The fact is they don't. Ariel Actually they do Ariel. In the New Testament in Romans 13, Luke 18 and Matthew 19 Jesus repeats the ten commandments. I'm sure there are other spots in the...

Re: The Virgin Mary

Hi Ariel

I'd just like to say that your lesson on Miriam, Our Jewish Mother is truly beautiful.

Along with Mary's perpetual virginity the 144 thousand from the twelve tribes that follow the Lamb are also virgins according to Revelation 14:4.

God bless

Re: Hello, i am new and have some problematic questions

I'll be looking forward to that savvy. I find it interesting that the top video on the Pave the Way Foundation web site that you posted above says it's being investigated now that according to one account the KGB was behind the 1963 novel/play called The Deputy (which is also known as The Representa...

Re: Vatican for a 2-state solution?

Well I certainly can not see how anyone could or should disagree with what the Pope said. "I plead with all those responsible to explore every possible avenue in the search for a just resolution of the outstanding difficulties, so that both peoples may live in peace in a homeland of their own, ...

Re: Hello, i am new and have some problematic questions

Hi Photios First I want to say God bless you in your decision. As a non-Jewish Catholic I have learned much about Pope Pius XII from this thread myself, thanks to savvy and Ariel. In other forums when people say that Pope Pius XII was a German collaborator I usually post that on his death Golda Meir...

Yeah Gerat the Catholic Church is both Hebrew and Gentile, hence the name. Catholic means universal in Greek.

But Malachi does state Elias shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers. I guess maybe not quite yet. 2 Thessalonians Chapter 2 has to happen first before the 42 months start. :D

Re: "Like" One Under the Law

Hi. I find this thread fascinating. After catching up by reading all the posts I went to the Association of Hebrew Catholics web site. They link to your web site Ariel. From their web site under Studies I went to "Themes of Salvation History" and listened to Lecture number 8 from Nov. 7, 2...

Re: Is the teachings of the Church the fulfillment of the old?

I love your sponge cake analogy Rob.

Just recently I was reading that the first coming of Jesus Christ was to bring mercy (the frosting on the cake) while the second will be for judgment.

Enjoy your cake in a couple of weeks.

Re: Jews against Zionism

Hi Gerat. The Wikipedia on Semetic describes Semites as quite a few more linguistic and ethnic groups besides just Hebrew. The Wikipedia on Ashkenazi Jews describes Ashkenazi Jews as sons of Japheth not Shem and that they make up approximately 80% of Jews worldwide today. I think if you get a Wikipe...

Okay I can understand that Ariel.

So does that mean a Catholic Jew will attend a Catholic church for the Eucharist and then a Synagogue for say the festival of Purim or Hanukkah?

No offense, just trying to understand this.

I would like to ask a question about Gerat Tzedek's post without offending anyone. I say this because I am not a Catholic Jew, unless you consider me an Israelite because of my Milesian genealogy (Milesius was a descendant of Jacob). My question is about Gerat's reference to Matthew 23. I use the Do...

Hi Rob. I guess I need the same answers that you are seeking. As far as I'm concerned the Old Testament is in the Bible to show the genealogies and the prophecies that came true in the New Testament. You've probably heard the saying 'the Old is revealed in the New'. In some parts of the world Cathol...
